Jorge Chavez International Airport / Lima
In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport to take your flight towards the city of Cusco.
Arrive in Cusco, historic heartland and former capital of the Incan Empire. You will be transferred from the airport to your hotel.
Cusco is a favorite destination of many visitors to Peru. As you wander the streets and side alleys of the city you will witness the perfect tapering Inca stonework that provided the foundations for many of Cusco's colonial and modern buildings. The city itself is the continent's oldest continuously inhabited city and was the home of the Inca Empire for two centuries before the Spanish built their first capital here. Today Cusco is a fascinating combination of both cultures. Take the time to acclimatize to the city's 3450-metre high (11,150 ft) altitude.
By the afternoon, your tour leader will take you on an orientation walking tour around the center of the city. On the way you will see the Stone of Twelve Angles at the Inca Roca Palace, on Hatun Rumilloc Street. You will see the facade of the most sacred Inca building 'The Temple of Qoricancha'. Also you will head to the heart of the city, 'the Plaza de Armas', surrounded by colonial arcades and four churches. In this place you will find the beautiful 'Cathedral' of Cusco, built in the XVI.

Cusco - Sacred Valley
In the morning, you will head to the small rustic town of Chinchero. This town lies off the main road between Cusco and Urubamba. This little town is missed by many but has some interesting spots for visitors to see. There is a great display of Inca architecture, ruins and megalithic carved rocks. Chinchero is home to the famous Peruvian weaving and also has a colorful market (on Sundays only). It is a lot smaller than the one in Pisac. A beautiful adobe church sits on the plaza, which can be visited daily. Chinchero is also believed to be the birthplace of the rainbow. You will head to a community in the Valley to learn about local lifestyle and activities with the weaving ladies and if our visit coincides with market day you can spend time browsing the stalls in search of hand-painted beads or warm ponchos and maybe practicing some of the local language, Quechua.
Then, you will continue your trip through the Sacred Valley. Lunch will be included at Wayra restaurant, including a spectacle of Peruvian Paso horse
In the afternoon, you will drive along the Urubamba River towards the town of Ollantaytambo. When you arrive in Ollantaytambo you'll see it's a magnificent example of Incan urban planning. It's one of the few places where the Incas defeated the Spanish. Once you get there you will visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo, an important Inca construction built during the Inca's heydays. This is an extraordinary Inca place where besides the ruins you may also see an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha. Afterwards, you will be transferred to your hotel located in the middle of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- Full day visit to the Sacred Valley of the Incas including a local community, in private service
Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
In the morning, you will head to the local train station to take the “First Class Machu Picchu Train” towards the town of Aguas Calientes. The train ride to Machu Picchu is one of the most beautiful journeys that visitors can experience in our country, after passing the Sacred Valley of the Incas the train starts to descend gradually along the edge of the Urubamba River, till finally reach the cloud forest. The train offers gourmet lunch on board.
Upon arrival to the town, you will be taken to the Machu Picchu ruins starting with a short bus ride up the steep, zigzagging road to the impressive Lost City of the Incas. Once you arrive to the ruins, you will have a guided tour of the ruins. You will get into the archaeological zone of Machu Picchu and your guide will show you the most important sectors of this great Inca City, such as the great Intiwatana (solar clock), the Sun Temple, the urban sector, the agricultural sector among others. Machu Picchu was long thought to be legendary. Then in 1911, the explorer Hiram Bingham stumbled upon it remains. Machu Picchu stands 2,430 m above sea-level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments.
After the guided tour, you will have some free hours to wander around the site and take more photos on your own with advice on the best locations from our guide. Later on, you will return to the town by bus and in the afternoon, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo town. On board you will enjoy a gourmet dinner.
