And life centers around the lively river-front area where the locals come to take in the air, snack on the street hawker’s food and enjoy impromptu waterside entertainment. Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport by flight, you will be welcomed by English speaking local guide who will escort you directly to hotel for relaxing. The balance early afternoon is free at leisure after your long flight into Cambodia. (Lunch on own account) Note: Official check-in time at 2:00pm, early check-in subjects to room available. 3 Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Phnom Penh remains a living relic of the country’s past struggles and successes. Your included visits to the Toul Sleng Prison Museum tells the story of the tragic legacy of the Khmer Rouge. The site is a former school that served as a Khmer Rouge torture centre, and it’s estimated that more than 20,000 people were held and tortured here. Then, head out of the city to the Choeung Ek Memorial that is home to stupa made up of some 8,000 human skulls, marking the site of the infamous Killing Fields. This was the execution ground for the torture victims of Tuol Sleng, and standing in this peaceful setting it's almost unthinkable to imagine that to date nearly 9,000 corpses have been exhumed from the area. Spend the rest of balance morning browsing through the colorful market at Russian Market, it is the place to shop for discounted brand-name clothing, also the best place in the city for wooden and stoned carvings, jewellery and silk souvenirs. Recommend optional lunch will be at the restaurant run by the Friends organization, a group which offers food, shelter, medical care, training and educational facilities for homeless, vulnerable or abandoned children. It's a great restaurant to support and the food is delicious. (Note: French closes during public holiday & student vacation, so alternative local restaurant subjects to replace. Lunch on own account) In the late afternoon around 4:00pm, you will be greeted by driver who will take you from hotel by Cyclo for a tour to the most significant sights of the city with a fun way. Three-wheeler cyclos introduced to Phnom Penh streets in 1936. Its drivers are amongst the poorest of the urban. Riding 2 hours tour in the Capital, taking in some of the interesting sights, sounds and smells of the capital, including the wonderful art deco-designed Psar Thmei (Central Market). Discover the building blocks of Khmer cuisine. Kroeung (fragrant herb paste), prahok (Cambodian fish paste), lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, tamarind and the famous Kampot black pepper are just some of the flavors you will encounter. Next, check out the food stalls in front of the Royal Palace and taste some of the best street food in the capital – fried cricket snack anyone? During free time this evening you might choose to have a relaxing sunset drink at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club, or stroll along the famous Sisowath Quay and enjoy a coffee or cocktail at one of the many cafes while observing the busy river traffic – a great way to while away the evening (any consuming at FCC is on own account).

4 Phnom Penh International Airport / Phnom-penh

After breakfast at hotel, you are free at leisure until appointed time with tour guide transfer to Phnom Penh airport for your departure flight for Siem Reap. The small province but expanding town of Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor. This is the most popular destination for travellers in all of Cambodia, perhaps even in South-East Asia. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by another English-speaking local guide who will escort you directly to hotel for relaxing. (Lunch on own account) Afternoon explore the amazing temples of Angkor Wat was built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing Mount Meru the home of the gods. Inside the temple, the walls are covered with stone carvings and bas-reliefs depicting Hindu mythology and the wars Suryavarman II fought during his reign. There are more than 2,000 Apsaras (heavenly dancers) decorating the temple. Construction is thought to have taken around thirty years of intensive labour. Today, Angkor Wat features on Cambodia's national flag as well as its beer as the temple symbolizes the heart and soul of the Khmer people. (Note: If travelers wish to climb up on Bakan towers, you need to line-up, not allow for child under 12 years old. The towers close on Buddhist observance day also other days of religious event.) Exit Angkor Wat through the east or somewhere around for view the sun going down behind the temple where you might enjoy its spectacular twilight hues over the towers and with quiet atmosphere - a truly memorable sunset!

5 Siem Reap, Cambodia

Rise early to see sunrise at the famous Angkor Wat. A simple breakfast box is available from the hotel if you would like to make the most of your time and not return to the hotel for breakfast (please advise in advance). Today, you will visit Angkor Thom-the 'Great Royal City', a temple is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Of all the temples visited today, Bayon temple is the centrepiece, with over 200 smiling carved faces and more than 50 gothic towers. Continue to Preah Khan temple situates at the northern edge of grand circuit, it is one of the most significant buildings erected during the ancient Khmer empire. Dedicated by the great king Jayavarman VII to his father in 1191, it serves today as an outstanding example of a large linear temple complex in a dense jungle setting. Situating at the corner of grand circuit where you will stop at Neak Poan or the entwined Naga, the temple was erected during the reign of king Jaryavarvan VII before ending of 12th century. The temple stands on an artificial island, because it is built in the middle of a reservoir offering you a fresh view during raining season. Finish you day with take a shady walk through walkway flanking by lofty trees to explore beautiful temple of Ta Prohm. It is overgrown by massive roots of huge trees and vines making the temple unique and famous for. The temple was also where Angelina Jolie's movie Lara Croft the Tomb Raider here because of its peaceful place with nature is taking it back-the most picturesque. And once you are inside the walls of the temple during late afternoon, it truly is an amazing sight to behold. The light just highlights architecture you would miss in the middle of the day! Tonight, a special dinner with a traditional Apsara dance show at local restaurant where you will enjoy with stunningly dressed dancers bring to life the epic tales of the Royal Court as well as the country dances favoured by peasants with traditional music.
